43 Farms is a proud carrier of Coast of Maine soils. These products have been certified and approved by the Organic Materials Review Institute, making them safe to use in your garden. Unlike many other options, Coast of Maine soils are sourced relatively local, and cannot be found in the big box stores. By using organic and sustainable practices, Coast of Maine is able to build rich, effective growing mediums that benefit us and our planet. By using ingredients such as compost, lobster, crab, kelp, worm castings, aged bark, oyster shells, biochar, and mycorrhizae, they are able to produce the best soils on the market.

Planting Mix - Penobscot 1 cu.ft

Penobscot Planting Mix is a perfect all-purpose blend for transplanting anything into the ground. Works excelently with Trees, shrubs, and perennials. The added oyster shells and mycorrhizae fungi help to enhance root systems upon transplanting for the best results. Available in 1 cuft.

Castine Raised Bed 2 cu.ft

Castine Raised Bed Mix is sepcifically formulated to provide vigorous growth when used in raised beds. The blend of worm castings, mycorrhizae, biochar, greensand, kelp meal, lobster meal, and crab meal provides structure, drainage, aeration, and plenty of nutrients. This diverse mix can also be used successfully in the ground. Available in 2 cuft.

Potting Soil - Bar Harbor - 1 and 2 cu.ft

The Bar Harbor Potting Soil is our favorite blend to use in containers. This can be used for planters, raised beds, container flowers, container vegetables, container tropicals, and even houseplants. This blend has plenty of drainage for your container garden to thrive. Available in 1 or 2 cuft.

Premium Potting Soil - Stonington 2cu.ft

Stonington Grower’s Mix is a potting mix packed full of nutrients from lobster and crab meal, compost, alfalfa meal, fish bone meal and worm castings. This blend preforms best in large containers (15 gal recommended) and has plenty of nutrients to feed a plant for their full flowering cycle. Available in 1.5 cuft.

Composted Manure - Schoodic 1 cu.ft

Schoodic Composted Manure Blend is an affordable all-purpose soil conditioner. This can be used in any corner of your garden that has poor soil. Schoodic Blend provides the stability that your plants need. Available in 1 cuft.

Lobster Compost - Quoddy 1cu.ft

While Schoodic is an excellent compost that outperforms other brands, the Quoddy Blend is just another step beyond that. This contains lobster and crab shell meal in addition to their composted manure. The seafood compost is sure to bring a pop of life to any garden that looks tired. Available in 1 cuft.

Annual Mix 20qt

The Annual Mix is specifically crafted to encourage the growth of flowering annuals. Providing the right balance of moisture retention, drainage, and fertility. The Annual Mix the best option for your dahlias, pansies, petunias, and zinnias in the ground. Available in 20qt.

Rose and Flower 20qt

Rose & Flower is a great blend for Rose bushes and flowering perennials. It improves and revitalizes the soil to provide the nutrients needed to bloom. Can be used in flower beds or in the ground. Available in 20qt.
